Saluda Streamflow Data
The Saluda River USGS Dischage Data Website
With the continued unplanned spikes in the Saluda River levels, I wanted to share with you how to save this informatin as an app on your smart phone or just add it as a favorite to your home computer to get the current levels on the river at two locations. One is up at the Dam and the other around the zoo in Columbia.
Bill Clendenin was kind enough to walk me through this process step by step and for that I am thankful.
Step # 1 – Go to the USGS (U.S. Geological Survey) Website - - which is USGS.gov/
Step # 2 – Once on the website look to the left hand side and you’ll see Start with Science.
Under that look for the link titled Water and click it.
Step # 3 – Then on the left hand side of the screen look for the link titled Streams, Lakes, and Reservoirs.
Step # 4 – On the left hand side look for USGS in Your State. You will see a map of the US.
Click on SC.
Step # 5 – Look for the MAP of South Carolina and to the right of that map you’ll see a link to Streamflow, click on that link.
Step # 6 – Then scroll down and look for Saluda. Under Saluda scroll down and near the bottom you’ll see Saluda River Below LK Murray Dam NR Columbia, click on that and save the link to your homepage for your smart phone or if your using a home computer save it to your favorites.
Step # 7 – Go back to Saluda and scroll down again near the bottom and look for Saluda River Near Columbia. click on that and save the link to your homepage for your smart phone or if your using a home computer save it to your favorites
